It’s Better At The Beach!

The Chinook Winds Casino Resort sits on the beautiful Oregon Coast in Lincoln City, home of spectacular ocean views, superb fishing, and beautiful Devil’s Lake--bordering the town and the coast range.

The Casino and Resort opened in May of 1995, by the Siletz Tribe after intense planning and three years of negotiation at the local, state and federal level. Originally opened with a 10,000 square-foot temporary facility known affectionately as “The Tent.” The initial Casino only housed 250 slots, 12 card tables, and a small deli.

The grand opening of Chinook Winds Casino Resort’s permanent facility took place on June 28, 1996--right on the beach! With 243 rooms, six different casinos, a golf course and has been a staple of the Lincoln City area ever since.


The Problem.

Prior to partnering with NAVIS the Chinook Winds team relied on manually pulling data and reports out of their Property Management System. This was causing a major problem with efficiency and utilizing all of their data accurately. The reservations team was busy but they weren’t doing a good job keeping track of how often they were turning guests away or why guests were calling.

Chinook Winds team began to work with NAVIS to fix this efficiency and data problem.

The team at Chinook Winds was originally concerned that NAVIS solutions would be hard to use, take up to much of their time (on already super busy work days), and ultimately just create more work without results.

Our friends at Chinook Winds soon found out, NAVIS services were a huge game changer for the team in terms of support and efficiency,  the guests in creating an overall positive experience, and their bottom line!
