Individual Winners

Destiny Baker, Oak Island Accommodations - Rookie of the Year

From her start as a Reservations Supervisor. Ms. Baker fully embraced the NAVIS experience. She identified new communication opportunities, leveraged data for decision making and applied best practices to increase conversions. Her hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed, either. Recently, she was promoted to Director of Guest Services and continues to partner with NAVIS and her reservation sales colleagues to improve adoption and sales.

Ben Wambaugh, Sea Island - Reservation Sales Manager of the Year

When Mr. Wambaugh’s colleagues share about his impact, it’s clear: he is a driving force behind the resort’s success. According to one, he’s “...transformed the reservations department into a sales-oriented, booking engine for the entire resort!” Ben’s impact is seen across three hotels, 150 vacation rentals and in multiple verticals, including the spa, dining and golf. In his first year of booking the spa, his team booked over $1 million in services – more than double the previous year. Two years in and he’s grown the revenue to $4.5 million. Mr. Wambaugh’s NAVIS use led to improvements in agent productivity, conversion, and decreased abandonment. In 2019,  his team booked $4 million more in room revenue than the prior year and handled 18% more lead call volume, without increasing hiring.

Jenna Sullivan, The Wigwam - Marketing Manager of the Year

With creative list development, photography, email design, and campaign execution, Ms. Sullivan steers The Wigwam’s marketing success. Her team admires her “strategic intellect” and “relentless drive”, noting the over $1.5 million in revenue generated from her direct marketing efforts this year. Arizonans still talk about the epic 90th-anniversary celebration she threw for The Wigwam last year!

Elizabeth Benson, Mohonk Mountain House - Revenue Manager of the Year

Under Ms. Benson’s leadership, Mohonk Mountain House has experienced unprecedented growth. She maximizes NAVIS relentlessly – and was a driving force behind the executive team bringing dashboards into the call center. Recently, Ms. Benson was promoted to Revenue Manager and continues developing a sales-driven culture. It’s no surprise that she is also a respected member of the NAVIS Client Council.

Team Winners

Vail Resorts - The Dream Team

Vail Resorts proves that teamwork really does make the dream work. Last year, they consolidated four NAVIS accounts spanning multiple countries and time zones. As an active acquirer, Vail Resorts needed a model to seamlessly onboard new resorts, while cleaning up legacy markets, skills, and toll-free numbers. The team delivered and is ready for even more growth in 2020!

Fontainebleau Miami Beach - The Wrangler

Much of Fontainebleau’s success is due to daily teamwork between the property’s RevGen and RezForce teams – you simply don’t do $31 million in total revenue and $2.4 million from outbound without it. While a luxurious beachfront and award-winning dining help, it’s the team’s hustle that makes a difference.

Zehnders of Frankenmuth - Marketing Mastermind in Hotels & Resorts

The team at Zehnders proudly claims: In all the world, there’s only one. With off-the-charts data capture numbers and tightly integrated marketing, Zehnders uses teamwork and technology to thrive. With an acclaimed winter SnowFest, a 160-year history of dining, and a hotel and waterpark, the team at Zehnders of Frankenmuth truly is a marketing mastermind.

Finger Lakes Premier Properties - Marketing Mastermind in Vacation Rentals

Building on the natural beauty of the Finger Lakes and a world-class wine region, this team drives consistent growth in year-over-year booked revenue. They note the role of fresh campaigns and a great connection with the reservations team in their success. Notably, they attribute over $4 million of booked revenue to NAVIS Marketing Suite.

The Greenbrier - Power of the Platform in Hotels & Resorts

This team mastered the art of retargeting and booking high stay-value guests. They regularly exceed their leisure revenue projection and are skilled in representing the 50+ activities the resort offers. The Greenbrier team is a known NAVIS power user, successfully developing agents since 2012.

Village Realty - Power of the Platform in Vacation Rentals

From masterful guest data capturing, to clever marketing, Village Realty is a power user in every sense. With sky-high quarterly benchmark scores, they prove how utilization of NAVIS services generates incredible ROI. In 2019, the reservation team booked over $800k in revenue from RezForce follow up leads. Hand-picked oceanfront and sound-side homes sound good about now, huh?

Streamsong Resort - The Closer in Hotels & Resorts

Last year, this sales team generated over $1.5 million dollars in outbound revenue. Much of this is attributed to improved salesmanship and year-over-year conversion growth. Streamsong relies on lead and revenue management tools to drive additional room nights and grow their ADR – attributing 25% of their annual revenue to Reservation Sales Suite.

Cottage Rental Agency - The Closer in Vacation Rentals

In the face of declining call volume, this team doubled down on outbound efforts. As a result, it grew outbound revenue as a percentage of total by over 8%. As well, it cranked up year-over-year conversion by 3% – an impressive feat in Florida’s competitive seaside market!

Congratulations to this year’s Navvie Award winners and nominees!
